WHITE'S LINCOLNSHIRE DIRECTORY OF 1882 SAYS:- 'NEAR AISBY A TESSELATED PAVEMENT OF A ROMAN VILLA WAS DISCOVERED SOME YEARS AGO'. THIS MAY BE THE SAME VILLA AS THE 1818-1929 ONE AT HACEBY, BUT I DO NOT THINK SO. {1}{2}{3}{4}
