Full Description

The butt end of a middle Bronze Age rapier. {1}{2} A fragment of Bronze Age rapier found at Saltersford in Little Ponton and Stroxton parish in 1911. Preston suggests that it may be a piece of bronze brought onto the Roman settlement site of Saltersford as scrap for melting down. It is in Grantham Museum. {3}{4}{5}
