Full Description

Tesselated pavement discovered in 1823, on west side of and near to River Witham. Air photos show faint marking at OS published site and traces of other earthworks in same field. From Great Ponton and Stawston there are early reports of RB coins, urns, bricks, mosaic pavements, arches and vaults and a large pierced bead. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}{7}{9}
