Full Description
'Ropsley Windmill' {1} 'Windmill (Disused)'{2}
Built in the mid 19th century, this tower mill worked until early this century by wind. It had four pairs of stones driven by four patent sales. It then ran by engine power for a number of years but was partly demolished in the late 1950s of early 1960s. The two storeyed stump remains as a store amongst farm buildings.{3}
