Full Description

The butt end of a Neolithic polished stone axe was found in this location in 1979, during field walking on land to the north-west of Ropsley. The axe is made of material originating from the Charnwood Forest area of Leicestershire. The end of the butt is facetted and there are indications of further facets along the sides. {1}{2}
