Full Description

'Pickworth Mill (Disused)' lies to the E of Mill Lane, N of the village. {1} This small tower mill was built by the millwright Ingledew to replace a post mill in the early 19th century. It had 2 common and 2 spring sails driving 2 pairs of stones. It ceased to work early this century and was later used as a cheese factory. The tower was still at its full height in the 1940s but it has now been reduced to a two storeyed stump.{2}
