Full Description
Position of the manor house called Callends and other houses to the east of the present village of Kirkby Underwood along what is now called Collans Lane. Manor house is mentioned in Brownlow settlement of 1658 but appears to have been gone by the time of the earliest Heathcote survey 1718. The manor was sold to Sir Gilbert Heathcote in 1715.{1}{2}
