Full Description

Sherds of cream-coloured medieval pottery have been found in this location. The sherds were possibly a variant of Stamford ware, dating to the 10th-12th centuries. {1} Earthworks of medieval ridge and furrow are in this field, as seen on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. The remains are bounded to the north by a bank and ditch, by the line of the parish boundary to the west, and by a number of current and former ponds to the north-east. {2}
