Full Description
Late C19th brick yard of Towers & Williamson. Abandoned around the 1930s. Many of the buildings demolished following a fire. Two kilns remain along with one dying shed. A double lime kiln also survives. Site visited Easter 1980. Number of bricks, floor tiles etc. bearing various company marks were obtained. Stamford museum has acquired a number of wooden brick moulds & bricks. {1}
