Full Description

Cropmarks of a ring ditch feature to the north-east of Wilsthorpe, visible on aerial photographs. {1}{2}{3} The cropmarks were identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. It was thought likely that the feature represents the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. {4} The feature is clearly visible on the more recent Google Maps aerial photographic layer of c.2018, where it appears as a circular cropmark, measuring approximately 22m in diameter. The ditch appears to be roughly 1m wide in most places, enclosing an internal space of roughly 20m in diameter. {5}
