Possible Roman coin hoard - many Roman coins were found in a gravel pit at Greatford, in the years around 1824. The coins were found by Mr W. Bland, a farmer of Baston, who recovered the coins 'during his school-days … and for some considerable time after.' {1}{2}{3}
