A SQUARE DOVECOTE FORMERLY STOOD SOUTH-WEST OF THE PRESENT FARMHOUSE, DEMOLISHED SOMETIME AFTER 1950. {1}
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVALUATION BY LINDSEY ARCHAEOLOGICAL SERVICES IN 1991 LOCATED THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE DOVECOTE AND CONCLUDED THAT IT WAS AT LEAST AS OLD AS THE C18 ON CARTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE, BUT THAT THE PRESENCE OF DIAGONAL CORNER BUTTRESSES MAY BE AN INDICATION THAT IT WAS CONSIDERABLY OLDER. {2}
