PRN 33436 At the crossroads at Towngate on the outskirts of Market Deeping, where the toll-bar used to be, is the base and more modern shaft (31' high), of a medieval village or pilgrim's cross. The socket stone is still in- situ but badly mutilated and 4' below the surface. The shaft is not in- situ. {1}{2}{3} The 14th century cross base is listed.
