Full Description
Few sherds of handmade pottery in field next to the Car Dyke of distinctive two coloured fabric - dark grey - black on the inside & almost burnished orangey brown on outside. No rims. Similar pottery occurs on other sites - sometimes scored. Might be a local Iron Age tradition. (?Billingborough Fen Edge) BFE type. Other sites: Osbournby, Billingborough, Helpringham, Little Hale, Rippingale.{1}
