Full Description

'String of beads' or 'clothesline' enclosures of unknown date, visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs in Pointon and Sempringham. The cropmarks take the form of small subsquare enclosures butted onto man-made watercourses, which drain the small valley streams flowing from the slightly undulating ground to the west of the Fens. There are 3 main groupings of these enclosures along the same sinuous watercourse in the field at TF1224 3086, TF 1230 3060, and TF 1243 3051. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}{7}{8}
