Full Description
An early 17th century brick mansion of two storeys and attic, with a two- storey porch. Used for a time as a station building. Local tradition has it that the Gunpowder Plot was hatched here. At that time it was the home of Sir Everard Digby, who was tried and executed for his part in the conspiracy. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}
