St Andrew's Horbling, is a cruciform church, late Norman to Perpendicular in date. {1}{2}{3} In normal use. {1} DURING A WATCHING BRIEF ON LAND TO THE NORTH OF THE CHURCH ON SANDYGATE LANE, AN EAST-WEST DITCH WAS IDENTIFIED, DATED TO THE TWELFTH CENTURY. THIS DITCH POST-DATES THE ORIGINS OF THE CHURCH AND MAY REPRESENT THE EARLY NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE CHURCHYARD. OTHER MEDIEVAL POTTERY WAS ALSO FOUND INCLUDING SHELLY WARE AND STAMFORD WARE. {6}{7}
Stained glass in this church dates to the 14th century.{8}
