Full Description
New main sewer under Stamford Centre from Scotgate (TF023078) to junction of Priory Rd & Cherryholt Rd (TF03510728?). 11 vertical shafts sunk to varying depths, 20-25'. From these horizontal shafts driven in both directions. In course of work many features discovered…cavities both natural & artificial, some containing human bone, in one case 10-12 skeletons. {1}
