Full Description

Roman road running NW from the crossing of the Welland that must have lain to the SW of Stamford. From Mill Lode Northwards it is covered by a road. The stretch from the north side of Empringham Road northwards survived until recently as earthwork '4-5 ft high' and about 30yds wide. By February 1972 all reputedly gone under housing estate.{1}{2} Section cut through by C Green for MoW.{3} Visible as cropmark.{4}
