Full Description
Finds including an 'ustrina' were reported by Stukeley in 1744. Dug up at house in High Street was an empty urn, possibly Roman, found covered with a slate. Two perpendicular hewn arches, without mortar, against the side of the rock were filled with black mould and the ground was paved with stones, black with burning.{1}{2}
