Full Description
An Anglo-Saxon cemetery found in 1854 in a cutting on the Stamford to Essendine railway, at a depth of 4 feet near the Uffington Road. An urn was found along with a spear, other pottery fragments and skull and bone fragments. The first urn is in Burghley house. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
