Full Description

Church destroyed by Lancastrian army 1461. {1}{2}{3}{4} Site almost certainly on site of present Cornstall buildings. Stood just within medieval walls. Earliest ref temp Henry II. No evidence for foundation. Must have vanished as building in C14. In 1304 sessions of ecclesiastical court held within it. Parish absorbed into St Georges. {5} TF03300726: A service trench dug Sept 1979, Cornstall buildings parallel to houses. Skeletons were reported appearing at N end. Cornstall buildings were built on site of St Mary (???) Cornstall. {6}
