PRN 30551
Report from police of skeleton(s) at dept of 6' in Trent Rd off Dysart Rd, 11.9.1981. SLAU to investigate. {1}
A small salvage excavation was undertaken recovering a 2nd century female skeleton. Forty nails were found around the burial indicating burial in a wooded coffin. Parts of a flagon and a greyware cup were also recovered. It is thought that the burial may be part of a small inhumation cemetery related to a nearby settlement. {2}
