Full Description

2 Anglo-Saxon spearheads and a medieval buckle were found during building work at the school at a depth of 2 to 3 feet 6 inches. This is possibly a cemetery site. {1}{3} A pot was found later (in Museum) together with '2 pieces of stone irregular in shape and about 12 inches at the widest part and both of the stones had various colours in them on the surface', but these were left on the site and are now lost. {2} Only reference to the above pot is from the Lincoln Museum record card: 'Small domestic type accessory vessel from same site.' {1}
