Full Description

At SK9337, several microliths were found from a golf course. The scatter includes five microliths, one with a pointed base with inverted retouch, and a microburin. In addition, conical cores and waste flakes are found fairly commonly in the bunkers over a wide area. The finds are now in Grantham Museum. {1} At SK 9338 [13439], several cores, several blades/flakes, five microliths and a microburin are recorded in the Colonisation of Britain Project. At SK 933 370 [13440] a microlith, twelve blades, twelve flakes and a blade core are recorded. All of the flints are in Grantham Museum. The grid reference from reference 13440 is possibly a mistype as the database records that these flints are from Belton golf course. {2}
