Full Description

Anglo-Saxon cemetery site - Local reports of burials from this area in about 1900 due to ironstone quarrying. Some confusion with another quoted cemetery 30380.{1}{2} A spearhead was ploughed up in the field to the east of church in 1973. This was donated in 1975.{1}{2} A Saxon bronze fibula dating to about 500AD was found, and is now in Grantham Museum.{3}{4}
