Full Description

30353 A Romano-British stone coffin was found in Twelve Acre Close in 1859. {1}{2} A further inhumation burial was discovered in August 1955. Two Castor vessels were recovered. Two Romano-British wells were revealed, from which pottery was recovered. Two now in City and County Museum. Finds were noted c.50 feet from the road. {3}
