Full Description
Field, masonry, tiling, nails, coins - House of Constantine. Stone header walls (6 walls), flue tiles at SK 9653 4308. {1}{5}
Red, blue concrete floor and stone slab floor. Quarter skirting round edge. Samian and Castor ware at SK 9645 4300. {2}{5}
Romano-British site at Ancaster. Roofing tiles, wall plaster, pottery including Samian and Castor ware, coins of the House of Constantine and a 3rd century radiate, and scraps of bronze were found. Traces of floor were also seen, and investigated in December 1954. There were no surface indications of this site in 1965. {3}{4}{5}
