Full Description

A collection of 17 microliths, 7 cores and hammerstone, 3 leaf-shaped and 5 'triangular' (transverse?) arrowheads, along with 10 polished stone axe fragments, 1 axe and 12 scrapers. In all hundreds of Bronze Age worked flints, arrowheads, blades and scrapers etc have been found. In 1976 a scraper was reportedly found at west end of field at SK876355. {5} Cores, blades and microliths are recorded at SK 877 354 within the Colonisation of Britain Project. {7}
