Full Description

PRN 30111 The earthworks in a field west of Barrowby were surveyed by V. Ancliffe, and have been interpreted as the remains of a seventeenth century formal garden partially destroyed by housing along the drive to the Old Hall. There is a report in the HTL parish file. Part of the earthwork remains have also been interpreted as a moated site.{1} Earthwork features noted by Healey and Roffe suggest the reuse of medieval features (see PRN 35493) as part of a formal garden, possibly belonging to Barrowby Old Hall (PRN 30109).{3}
