Full Description
The original endowment of the abbey included the village of Newbo. {1}
Finds from the medieval village site include pottery, mostly Nottingham Green Glazed ware, a fragment of millstone and faced ashlars were among architectural stone work removed from the field. The pottery is largely late 13th and 14th century in date. {1}{2}
