Full Description

A square moated enclosure located to the northeast of a 17th century manor house. {1} The moat is dry and partly in-filled. There are disturbances on the platform, but no certain trace of a building. {2} Part of the estate of Eye, Suffolk. Passed to Malet at the Norman Conquest. Sir Roger le Strange died at the manor house in 1349. There is 15th century panelling in the current manor house. See primary reference number 30092. {3}
