Full Description
A small mound where the post inclosure road to Woolsthorpe crosses the Sewstern Lane, is traditionally the grave where a brewer who committed suicide was buried at crossroads with a stake through his heart, but was then removed and buried elsewhere, another version called him a baker, therefore it is possibly a late story attached to a far older name which meant the grave on the bruery or heath… . {1}
