Full Description

A hoard of 99 medieval gold coins was found together with buried timbers and a large number of cobbles nearby, suggesting a yard or floor of some type, although there is now no evidence of these features. The site lies within an area of medieval saltmaking mounds. {1} The coins were gold nobles of fourteenth century date.{2}
