PRN 23608 POSSIBLE STONE FOUNDATIONS OF THE MEDIEVAL BRIDGE. THE C17 BRIDGE WAS WOODEN, BUT THE MEDIEVAL ONE WAS PROBABLY STONE, AS IT HAD BRIDGE CHAPELS, SO THE FOUNDATIONS COULD BE MEDIEVAL. {1} The current bridge is a single arch stone structure, built in 1838.
