Full Description

A Second World War type 22 pillbox, built to defend a radio station site. {1}{2} The location of the pillbox is depicted on a map of 1975, just south of a former field drain. {3} No trace of the pillbox could be discerned on the Google Maps satellite imagery, though the former field drain could still be discerned as a cropmark; it is possible that the pillbox was demolished when the drain was infilled and the adjacent fields were joined. {4}
