Full Description

A waterworks complex was formerly located in this area off Pinchbeck Road. The complex is believed to have been established in the 1860s, although the exact date of construction is not clear. The complex included Spalding's original water tower, but this was demolished and the site cleared for other development in about 1955, when the Chatterton Water Tower was built as a replacement (see PRN 27335). {1}{2}
