PRN 23211 [Note - this record includes information from duplicate record PRN 25150, now deleted.] THE PRESENT GAMLYN'S ALMSHOUSES ARE OF HARSH RED BRICK, ARE TUDORESQUE AND WERE BUILT IN 1843-4 BY WILLIAM TODD. {1} The almhouses were founded in 1501, and were rebuilt in 1843-44. They are built in a Gothic style in a quadrangular plan and are two storeys in height and built of red brick.
