COW 27A IS A SITE WITH PATCHES OF VERY DARK SOIL (OCCUPATION LAYERS) WITH LARGE POTSHERDS, SOME NEWLY BROKEN SUGGESTING THAT THIS AREA MAY HAVE BEEN PLOUGHED FOR THE FIRST TIME. FINDS FROM THIS SITE ALSO INCLUDED TILES, ANIMAL BONES, A BONE PIN AND MUSSEL SHELLS. ALSO, AT TF 26541641 (COW 27B) IS A VERY DARK SOIL STAIN WITH A DENSE CONCENTRATION OF LARGE POTSHERDS, ALSO SUGGESTING THE SITE WAS NEWLY PLOUGHED. THE SITE IS ADJACENT TO AND PARTLY SEALED BY MEDIEVAL AND POST MEDIEVAL BARRIER BANKS. {1}, AREA 0.06H, HTM 3M
