Full Description

In 1921, four skeletons found while digging a well on the council houses site near the gas works at a depth of about 3 ft. In good state of preservation. One skeleton of a large male another possibly of a woman. Two other skeletons in close proximity and all were buried feet to feet. Appear to have been buried without coffins. The grass field in which the skeletons were found is about 1m from the Market Place and close to the banks of the Welland.{1}{2}
