Full Description

In 1976, worked flints were found in the northern half of a field purchased for development by Allison builders. This appears to be on the southern edge of a gravel island which extends north-east and south-west of the Abbey. To the north-east, it continues towards site of Anchor Church House. In 1979, the field was still undeveloped, and was sold to another builder. It was much overgrown, and had some soil dumping. In February 1981, the building work seems to have ceased, though the roads were laid. In summer 1981, building development began. {1}{2}
