Full Description

Former tower mill built c.1816, and worked by wind until 1934. The four patent sails were removed in 1939, and the upper part of the tower was taken down in 1943, leaving a two-storeyed derelict stump. Like other mills in the Spalding and wider fenland area, the cap was particularly bulbous and the tower had a very pronounced lean. {1}{2}{3} The remains of the tower became steadily more ruinous, with the brickwork deteriorating into quite poor condition. The remains of the structure were fully demolished in 2022. {4}{5}
