Full Description
An area of probable Roman settlement seen as cropmarks and soilmarks under plough on aerial photographs. The features appear as a compact cluster of tiny ditched enclosures bounded on the south-west by straight ditch, iteslf part of a droveway. Fairly straight double-ditched droves are on the north-east and north-west sides, giving the impression of a sub-rectangular enclosure, although this may just be fortuitous. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}{7}{8}{9}{10}
Sherds of grey ware and coarse ware pottery were found in this area of concentrated Romano-British cropmarks. {11}{12}
