Scatters domestic debris C2nd-4th pottery, bones etc. seen over well defined dark patches. Area under crop. Partial perambulation revealed no surface finds in 1952 - Raven's Gate. Large compact settlement. Patches of dark soil with sherd scatters. Several pot scatters. In 1977, fieldwalking at TF372206 revealed pottery scatters concentrated on dark soil patches on north side of field.
