Full Description

Cropmarks of small rectangular ditched enclosures seen on aerial photographs and investigated in April 1952. A scatter of baked clay powder and vessel fragments along a flank of a group of six probable Romano-British domestic sites was seen. Full examination prevented by crop. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} The farmer does not recall archaeological finds. No surface finds made during perambulation and no visual evidence of Romano-British occupation. {1} At TF345178 - Romano-British pottery found. {6}
