Full Description

A loose group of small ditched enclosures visible as cropmarks under plough, probably a Roman settlement group. They are visible on aerial photographs and appear to form part of an extensive complex of marks in the vicinity of Somerset House, Holbeach, to the north, and Langary Gate Road to the south-east. Roman pottery has been reported from the north-west field. {1}{2}{3}{4} The area is under crop. Mr Mossop recalls skeletons from this area while ditches were being cut, but could not recall the year nor find any further details. {1}
