Full Description
Aswick Grange belonged to Crowland Abbey. Part of medieval moat remains. The whole of this area is one of intensive Roman occupation, and the reports of the earlier finds led to the medieval moat being erroneously published on OS 6 inch map of 1906 as a Roman camp.{1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
The published moat remains have been filled in and are visible only as grass discolouration; published survey (25 inch) revised. The house is completely modern.{1}
There was the base of a medieval jug found at TF 313139. {5}
