Full Description

In 1969 at Moulton Chapel, part of a vessel of broad proportion was found. The handle had been broken off but there was still a wavy line which had been scratched into the body to assist in keying of the handle. The sherd was possibly a fine type of green glazed ware (Saintonge) mainly from the south west of France. The artefact was found in a layer of ash. {1}{2}{3}{4} The findspot may be located at TF 281 183. {3}
