Full Description

Site visited November 1951, when a slight scatter of C2nd-4th pottery seen over wide area of field with clayey silt, and darker less cohesive soil over the raised enclosure area; the considerable soil variation too indefinite to plot individual sites. The pottery included late C3 to early C4 mortaria and colour-coated ware of 'Shebbington' types. Associated cropmarks in fields to the west and south, area TF272185 {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} Indicated area under spring wheat. The majority of Mrs Hallam's finds are in City and County Museum, Lincoln.{1}
