Full Description

Pottery found during building works for old peoples' home includes C19 wares, some slipware and stonewares, Cistercian ware sherd and yellow seal, Midlands purple ware handle of storage jar, two green glazed post-medieval storage jar rims with thumbed strip at neck. Also two sherds R-B and developed Stamford ware and other medieval wares including much of a green glazed jug.{1}{2}
